2007 TL Type-S

I have recently had repairs on the passenger-front wheel/suspension/engine mount and bumper/cosmetics due to hitting a driveway and drainage pipe combo. Now when it is raining really hard and I drive though standing water or puddles i hear a loud noise form the front-driver side of the car or engine. Almost like an exhaust with no muffler or the sound of the fan hitting plastic. It increases with RPM.

This noise dissipates after a few minutes. Kind of like the water dries off after running through a puddle.

The strange part is I also notice this same sound occasionally when I am in reverse. Not all of the time, but only occasionally.

Any ideas as to what is going on?

hmmmm. did they place the inner fender cover within the wheel well on correctly? Possibly water could be getting thrown up into the innerside of the fender making that sound?

I have a 04 TL and this same exact thing started happening to me yesterday. I can feel it in the gas pedal when I accelerate as well right after I run through standing water.

I took my car to the dealer yesterday right away after this started but they said I had taken in no water in the intake and the check engine light was not on.

Later in the night I ran through some shallow standing water again and it started to do it and then stopped as soon as it evaporated.

Have you had any luck solving this problem since it started?
