Guys,

I have a 07 TL Type S. I live in Van BC. Just wanted opinions / suggestions if it's OK for me to use

Motul x-clean 5W-30 in my car. I have friends who speak highly of the oil and suggest I should try it in my car. I am noob...don't want to f anything up by doing so. Any words are greatly appreciated. Mucho Thanks.

They certainly make great products, but although the 8100 is a SM/CF rated oil and necessary for certain applications that call for specific ingredients, but in the TL a complete waste of money. If you want to spend $12/13 p/liter you'll need to purchase 5 liters and use 4.25 for the TL oil change, pretty steep for an oil change $60/65 for oil plus the filter.
Stick with the run of the mill oils and you'll have no problems.

I hate cars

It's a great oil, one of my favorites. Esters have many advantages over other synthetics and over dino oils. You definitely won't mess anything up. I've run a 30wt since the car was new and I've run an ester based oil for a very long time now.

This particular oil has a high 3.5 HTHS and is fully compatible with catalytic converters. I would run it.
