MIL light on after 450mi on new 06 TL/AT

A month after replacing my totaled 04TL with a new 06/AT, the MIL light (malfunction indicator light for fuel and emmisions) came on after 450 miles. At first I thought it was overfilling the fuel tank that set the light with a EVAP sys fault. After burning off gas and disconnecting the battery, the light reset but reappeared after 2 days. I took it to the dealer who found and reset a #4 cylinder misfire code set on the ECU/PCU. The light returned again in 2 days. I brought the car back and they found the same code set again. They checked witht Acura Technical Services in CA, who suggested they reset the code and swap fuel injectors from #4 to #3 cylinder. The problem followed to to #3 cylinder! I'm now waiting for the injector to be replaced and the car tested with the diagnostic code reader connected to confirm the fix.

Good to know they worked at it until they found the problem and that it is a simple fix.

Hope it solves the problem for you.

Update: Tech read on the HDS scanner that code P0304, #4 cylinder misfire was set. Dealer technician first swapped ignition coils from #4 and #5 cylinder, but code was still set on #4. Then he swapped #4 and 5 fuel injectors, and misfire code followed to #5 cylinder. Changed #5 injector and misfire code did not return after several dealer test drives over 2 days. One thing I forgot to ask at the shop was the location of the cylinder/injector numbers. Are the # 4 and 5 cylinders on the front or rear bank of heads? I own the 04 TL shop manual and I can't find this info in it anywhere, under the hood and even searching Acurazine and the web. Anyone know?
