Mechanical inquiries/opinions on a '07 TL - S
I've got my sights set on a Certified 07 TL-S ASM,w 60K miles. The Dealer is asking a fair price of $21,900.
Any issues with these models that I should check into before signing the papers?
My 02 TL-S has been a great ride, despite the tranny issue.

I had a few minor issues with my 07 TL-S all covered under warranty. I would specifically be observant to:
1. Motor mounts. I had mine replaced under warranty around 65k miles.
2. Side mirrors make a clicking sound when putting it in reverse.
3. Fuel Cap error message. Look at the Navi screen with the map open and see if there is an envelope in the top right corner. If there is, see what the stored code is.
There are only minor issues I had with mine, 18months of ownership and all was covered under warranty. If its an auto transmission, see if the transmission lags a little when shifting from 3rd to 4th. The type-s is a solid car and if its certified under Acura, most probably all those issues have been taken care of. Good luck!

Can't think of any shortcomings unless the previous owner beat the car, but just make certain all the brakes/rotors are up to snuff as the Brembos (front) seem to eat then up pretty quickly on some cars and make certain the tires are wearing evenly across the tread and make certain there is quality rubber on the car, no junk tires/brands. Other than that, just the normal used car investigation, CarFax, trans fluid, overall condition and check all accessories and reverse mirror tilt for any binding.
Make certain the recall has been done and check the VIN for any maintenance records.
