Lower control arm bushing

So I just took pictures of my front lca bushings. As you can see they seem to be on their way out. I've been trying to figure out some slight pulls on my car even after 3 alignments, wheel balancing, bent wheel straightened out.

Also, the steering wheel seems to track every imperfection on the road, so it's really loose. So I think the problem comes down to these two.

I just want to confirm if my suspicion is correct and what effects do broken bushings cause? And would you guys please tell me if part #10 http://www.acuraoemparts.com/delray/...All&vinsrch=no is the one I need to have a shop press them in.

I have no idea how much labor will cost for this, I'm not mechanically inclined either. Thanks guys

yep definitely ripped up. Most people here would say DIY, but if you really have no experience, take it to an independent shop... should be $250 ish? about $50 for the bushings and 2 hours of labor

is part #10 the correct part? I'd need 2 of them for both sides and they go for about 60 bucks according to the link

And just to make sure, I've been trying to remedy the slight pulls and loose steering, do bushings contribute to it? I've spent quite a lot on getting that fixed

How many miles do you have on the car? Cracked lower control arm bushings were common on the '04's. Mine were discovered to be cracked at 11,000 miles. There may have even been a TSB on this as well. The stealership replaced both lower control arms under warranty.

mine is an 05 and I have around 115,000 miles on it. I bought it last year and since the day I bought it, it has been making noise from going over bumps and stuff. So I suspect the bushings have been cracked for quite a while.

resurrecting the thread. I asked around for shops that would be willing to press the bushings in. 2 of them refused and said it would be easier to replace the whole arm. One other shop is japanese car specialist and they are able to do it, but I can't buy bushings my own but have to go through them. The cost would be around 10 bucks more expensive/ bushing than ordering from acuraoempart and labor is $270. I think the price is quite high. They also said that they usually replace all 4 bushings (f & r) because they tend to go out together. Are they trying to upsell here? Does tl need rear bushing replacement?

Order the bushings and do it yourself:

And no, you most likely do not need the rear bushings.

I wish I could. But I don't even have a garage to do the work. My only tool is the scissor jack that came with the car. ;(
