Low RPM idling sometimes, not constant

When car is idling, the RPMs are pretty low sometimes. It is not always low though... i have not really paid attention, but is this normal? Does having the AC on affect this? Thanks

Well I've got an Accord, but I've got a similar problem, except it's unnaturally high. It's been idling at 1500 for a while, then drops to about 750, then 500, then back to 750, and bouncing around there.

How low is low? Mine stays around 600 rpm regardless of whether AC is on or off.
