Loud clicking and knocking sound while turning steering wheel *video included*
 

Hoping to get some help with this.

Im getting a loud knocking, sorta like popping sound when I turn my steering wheel full crank from one side to other. When the popping sound occurs I can feel it slightly transfer from the brake peddle.

This only happen during slow maneuvering, like parking or when completely stopped, otherwise it doesn't happen like pulling into a drive way making left/right turns. There is no shaking at all on the steering wheel, no alignment issues at all either. The steering feels completely stable even when it's happening.

I would stop doing that until you figure out whats causing the noise

Your gonna have to refresh a couple things to find this issue I dealt with it for years didnt go away till I changed the bushings on my lower control arm. if its not that its some kinda ball joint. Doubt is the tie rod

Soooooo!!!! Finally got the car on a lift to get a better look. The transmission shop that worked on the car failed to secure my steering rack. The c-clamp by the passenger side that secures the steering rack to the frame had it's bolts all the way loose where you could actually rotate them with your hand. The driver side bolt right by the rack and pinion was also loose. So what was happening is that when you'd crank the wheel all the way to either side the actual full rack assembly would shift up and down and that noise is the actual screw holes moving and grinding against the thread of the bolts...also came to find that a rubber line and metal line (not sure which) were not secured to an l-bracket with it's clamp. This wasn't causing an issue, but potentially with vibration it could've shimmied its way out.

As you can imagine I wasn't very happy when I went back to the transmission shop.

your lucky it didn't get worse as you drove, that could lead to some serious loss of control!
