Lost keys....'99 TL

so i lost my main set of keys and i have a backup inside for remote start but when i took it out and tried it cylinder woulnt turn i inspected the key and walmart didnt cut the key properly -__-, so i have lost keys before and have changed the key lock cylinders easily but never with a car that requires chip, would i need the car reprogrammed? or is it just plug and play like all other cars? any help would be appreciated

Have your Acura dealer look up your vin # so they can issue a new one, this may be your best bet.

Damn hoping that's not what it is, don have the title for it yet an don wanna do bonded title if its gonna cost me 500+ to get a key(program) from dealer

Yeah, Reaper101....."this may be your best bet". just as HQTL6SPD suggested !

Otherwise, removing the immobilizer from the program may be an option along with a ghetto hot wired push starter.
