Can anyone start a list, or collection of posts, of their encounters and/or experiences with owning an 06 base TL? Anything, I have heard stories about the 04/05's having a HELL of alot of problems...I was just wondering what I will face with my 06.. THANKS!

As for service bulletins, the major ones for the '06 TL are a hydraulic line for the steering, the back deck (below the window), and the front passenger seat track (metal on metal clicking)

I have also had a window squeak on both front windows.

The window problem and the passenger seat I fixed myself based on the great threads on this site. The steering line and back deck (they put some foam padding inside) are pretty straight forward for dealers to fix.

I have to say, love the handling and engine of my TL... all of the rattles and squeaks have driven me nuts... I finally have fixed everything, but I am just waiting for a new one to start at any moment!!!

no single thread will be able to accomplish what you are asking, however a basic GIST of it:

The 06 is pretty good, just a little better than the 04-05 TL's.

Issues:
1. Rattles - easily solved with some felt
2. Dash Fade - solved with 303 aerospace protectant
3. Leather wear - condition the leather well
4. Power Steering Recall (acura will fix it for free)
5. Wiper Motor Recall (acura will fix it for free)

that's about it... it doesn't have many issues unless you beat on the car. My 04 has treated me well, only issue I have is the mystery farting and a slight trans whine which has been around for nearly 50K.
