Light around gear shift

Light around gear shift
I recently purchased a 2007 TL and the light around the automatic gear shift wasn't working. Disassembled the center console and replaced the bulb. Still no light. I didn't see any immediate torn or burned wiring. Any one have any recommendations of where else to look?

I only figured out there was a bulb in there when I had the console apart replacing something else. Does anyone know what fuse this could be? Looking at the diagram in the manual I don't see which one makes the most sense to have been blown. Plus all of the other electronics around that piece work.

if u guys are talking about the PRND + - lights, mine just started giving me trouble a few days ago. so far i give it a tap and it comes on. the trunk button is giving me trouble also. i have thought about replacing them all to white lights but dont want to go through the hassle.

The shifter light requires disassembly of the center console to get to---you cannot get to the part just by popping off the trim ring.
Not sure about the fuse, but I can check my electrical service manual when I get home tonight.

I just checked the switch for continuity like dwb993 recommended. Everything was fine. The switch doesn't even tie into the wiring of the bulb.
I checked the continuity on the bulb wiring as far back as I could go and it was fine. The wires are attached to slots 5 and 6 on the connector in the picture dwb993 posted.
I checked fuse 7 in the kick plate on the driver side which is marked interior lights. No problems there. Anyone else have any ideas?

My right heated seat light and temperature control light went off. Tapped on heated seat light, came on, but went off again and doesn't come on anymore.
I'm thinking it's wires and connectors. The bad thing is that I cannot fix it during the day, because of the sunlight and I cannot during the night time, because I cannot see and I do not have a garage. lol
Any one have same problem?

- Im experiencing the same issue with the PRND lights. I just have to hit it and the lights come on.
- My seat heater switches.... well one is brighter than the other
- My VSA button will go out intermittently, same with my trunk button and my #1 memory seat button
im just going to replace all the bulbs one day

last night I finally decided to replace bulbs, took everything apart, removed center console, navi screen and etc. replaced climate control bulbs, driver heat seat light and after I put everything together passenger side heated seat light went off. lol
I don't feel like fixing it in near future.
