Leaking...how do I find out what is?
Just today I found out that my 06 was leaking, just between the front wheels. I tried to find out, but couldnt tell what it is. Everything else in the hood seems to be OK too. What are the steps I need to do before I bring the car in to the dealership? Since at this point, I am not even sure what it is.
My search with "leak" gives me a bunch of ideas, but no solution.

first off, post a picture of the fluid. If it is red, it could be transmission fluid, black is oil. Also try putting a little on your fingers and see if it is greasy or water like, it could just be water from the air conditioner.

1) Is the fluid clear or does it have a color?
2) Is the fluid just wet, or viscous/slippery?
3) Is there a pool of fluid or just a few drops?
If the answer to each question is in the first part of the sentence (clear, wet pool), it's condensation from the A/C or rain water from the car's drain tubes if it has been raining.
If the fluid is reddish/brownish and viscous, the most likely suspect is fluid from the steering pump hose for which there is a recall and which should be remedied immediately.
Otherwise, reddish/brownish = tranny fluid, brake fluid while blue/green is coolant/antifreeze, all of which should be dealt with ASAP.
Yellowish > darker yellow to black = engine oil.

wao...this forum is really helpful, especially for a guy like me who knows nothing about cars..keep it up!
Anyways, the liquid is water-like, forming a pool usually after driving. When I leave my car overnight, there's no leaking. It's probably the moisture from the AC, which I never knew it could happen...
called the dealership anyways, they said the same thing....I am relieved....!

If that puddle ever stops--- that means the drain tube inside the car is plugged or knocked loose, and its draining on the passenger carpet instead!!!
Its condensation from the evaporator unit- part of the ac- by passenger feet
it drips out a small hose and onto the ground
test:
A quick drive thru town and stop at the store in midday heat- you and all the other cars with ac thats been running will have a little puddle to small river under the car in a few minutes.
If any colored fluid ever shows on the driveway- THATS a problem
