Leak under tranny & oil drain plug leak too!

So how much is this going to cost me to fix?

Also last time i changed my engine oil i replaced the gasket that goes in between the oil drain plug and oil pan. But it continues to leak very slowly. Could be it the drain plug went bad and not tightening enough? might need to replace it?

Thanks for the help

Did you over tighten it? Your thread might have gone bad causing the slow leak. Same thing happened to mine. I opted to get a new oil pan and replace it. The other option is have a shop re-thread the oil pan. Most places it costs around $200-300.

You can also try using a Copper Washer to help seal it...Just like Prime said don't over tighten it.

I don't think I over right the drain plug. But I will try a copper washer see if that helps.

Anyone any ideas on the tranny leak??

Thanks!

Mine doesnt look as bad. Probably spray some brake cleaner on it and check in a few days. See how its looking.

Nasty oil leak under my 06 tl

So I’ve noticed my car was leaving small bits of oil every time I was parked some where. I thought it was for sure my power steering since my reservoir was going down for bits at a time so I put the problem off for a bit because my mechanic was always busy around those days. So I replaced 2 o rings on the power steering lines. Still had my leak. So then my father in brought to my attention my power steering pump was corroded with dry gunky oil but still my mechanic so still busy! So I put it off more! I drove my car 3 hours away and came back fine; it’s also my daily driver in my 50 mile comute to work, and I thought it must not be so bad. But then i took a leak under my cat and see this massive oil leak that’s began to spread all below!! My father in law noticed it was transmission fluid and sure Enough my dipstick marked it pretty much empty!! So I fill it up to where it’s supposed to be. Now I took a closer look under my car and see that my engine oil drain bolt is where a big drip is coming from!!! What’s worse is that it appeared to have some kind of sealant on it as if the shop where I change my oil had stripped it and sealed it !! WTF!!! Idk what to think now!
