I bought the car in March and am on my 4th battery now. Is the key fob messed up, or am I or was it the batteries? Maybe the original batteries just happened to die, ok... the next two batteries came on a roll so maybe their bad, I just bought some completely brand new ones... The lady at the store opened a brand new box of them.

Do you have other things in your pocket with your FOB? If so, perhaps they are pressing on the buttons and causing the FOB to be on alot. Just a theory.

I thought that too, but the key has been by itself until just recently when I added it to my keychain. I also try to keep it out of my pockets as much as possible because its oddly shaped now. If in about two months time the battery dies again I can surely rule out bad batteries.

I've had my TL for eight months and use it daily. I have not had to replace the batteries in the remote. I suspect that your remote is faulty and has a short in it or something like that.
