ijdmtoy DRL LED kit warning light
I installed the 9005 68 led bulbs (xenon white) and decoder kit yesterday on my 2007 Acura TL Base. Hooked up the wires correctly and the bulbs light up, but I can't get the DRL light to go off on my dash. Waiting to hear back from them on Monday. In the Machine's thread about installing this kit it has an extra white snap on harness, a black snap on harness to the LEDs and black plugs that connect to the factory bulb socket. All I have is the black snap on harness to the LEDs and the black plugs to the factory bulb socket. Am I missing a harness or did they update the kit? I also noticed under their item description that it says the kit is meant to replace 55w stock drl lights and our DRL bulbs are 60w. Does this have anything to do with the warning light staying on? Thanks for your guys' time.

Did you did wire exactly as this d.i.y ? I follow this everything turned out just fine.

Yeah I followed the DIY exactly. Only difference between the kit the machine used and the one I did is he had an extra white plastic clip that was connected to the resistors and my kit had the resistors wired in a loop to itself with no extra white plastic clip. Instead of a white and black harness mine just came with the black harness.

So I took my car to ijdmtoy's shop in San Gabriel, CA and got the issue fixed. They spliced a couple of wires and rewired my same kit and it works with no DRL warning light now. The kit had been updated and I was the first one to install it on an Acura TL and let them know about this problem, so now they know it and corrected it for their future kits. You're welcome guys. I really like the xenon white look and now enjoy pulling up behind someone and seeing them reflecting back at me instead of being bummed on the dull yellow stock halogen bulbs.

Thinking about pulling the trigger on iJDM but looking at Amazon I have found that I could buy the harness for $20
Amazon.com: iJDMTOY Plug-N-Play Error Free Decoder Wiring Kit For 9005 or 9006 LED Bulbs on Fog Lights or Daytime Running Lights: Automotive
and the 68-SMD 9005 LED DRL, Xenon White for $15
Both have free shipping which seems to me that I would pay $35 for the $60 kit from iJDM.
Sorry if this is thread hijacking but I was not sure if it is worthy of a new thread.
Is this worth mixing and matching this way to save $15?
