ran into an accident, long story, i need a new seat belt strap for the driver side, just the strap is damaged, how much does it cost and where can i pick one up from other then a acura dealership, they want 250 canadian for that

Beside getting one at the scrap yard from an undamaged car, your only option is the dealer.

The TL seatbelt mechanism has explosive charges for the front seat belts to take up the slack on impact. If the used belt comes from an TL which had the airbags deplyed, there are good chances that the sealt belt charges where also set off and need replacement. Since you can't replace the charge, you have to buy a new assembly.

Actually Seatbelts are guaranteed for the life of the vehicle. They should be replaced free of charge.

I'm just speculating since villain just said only the strap is damaged and it's a "long story" My childhood friend's dog always used to chew right through the belts in his mom's cars.

Seriously, even if you do find one in a yard you still have to grapple with the explosive recoil-er and the time to do the job. I do lots of stuff on my own but this is one that sounds like it sucks. You may want to consider letting someone else do it.
