How much do body shops charge to mix up paint
I'm looking at paintscratch.com, 1oz of paint and 10z of clear is like $30 shipped.
Am I better off $ wise asking a local shop to mix me some paint and buying some clear coat off them?
How much do shops normally charge to mix up a small can of paint?
What is the smallest size they will do? 1/2 pint?

Body shops usually wont mix paint for you. You need to go to a paint jobber (body shop supplier). I recommend finding a dupont jobber. That way you can give them your paint code and vin number and they can mix a perfect match. Take in a part of your car (fuel door) and they can scan it and mix a different brand a little cheaper. It will be expensive though no matter what. You can get very small portions of basecoat mixed, but the basemaker or reducer comes in quarts or gallons, and the clear comes in quarts. You will spend $120 easily on just paint for non premium products.
