Hiss from steering wheel
Does anyone else hear a "hissing" sound when you turn the steering wheel all the way to the left and hold it. You must be driving (going around something / turning) and hold it as far to the left as it will go and it makes a hissing sound. Anyone else with this?? Thanks

I believe it's normal, as every car I've ever had with power- or power-assisted steering has done that, unless you are finding steering fluid on the ground.
I notice the sound more when I have the wheel turned all the way while in a parking or u-turn situation.

I noticed the same problem in my recently purchased pre-owned 07 TL. The dealer did some diagnostics and said it seemed like a problem inside the steering column rack .. and replaced it (for free under warranty). Since he could not open up the sealed steering column rack, he said most likely some air was probably entering in and causing the fluid inside was getting aerated due to this.
Anyway now the problem is gone.

Some hiss or whine is normal. A lot of noise is air in the fluid usually caused by a bad 0-ring on one of the power steering lines.
I'm curious, you say it only does it when the car is moving and turning the wheel left but not if you just turn it all the way while stopped or right?
Just an FYI, it's bad for the powersteering to turn it all the way to the stop and hold it. I try and learn where the stops are and do my best to never touch them.
