Hello everyone,

Anyone ever encountered this on a 3G TL ?
Not always, but say 85% of the time when i'm accelerating, a high pitch steady noise comes out of the car. It looks like it's located by the wheels vertical level. I took my wheels out, checked everything, brakes, etc and found nothing.

Anyone ever encountered this ?

Does this only occur during "soft" acceleration, or do you notice it when you floor it as well?

Do you have an AT? Could just be transmission whine. Its not uncommon to here it at low speeds. Is the noise blatently obvious or do you have to kind of listen for it?

I have seen this with a K&N filter that needs to be cleaned

Ok, I have the same issue as the OP, but it only happens under your condition

Basically, under very light throttle ill hear a little whistle or some high pitch noise. Stock intake. ive always figured it was because my air box is broke a little (only 2 of the 4 bolts that hold the air box shut work). Im curious if you have any sort of explanation as to what it may be though.

mine has a slight whistle/hiss on acceleration. I have a V1 AEM CAI (V2 apparently fixes that).

Hey guys,

Sorry for the delay, i found the problem, it was due to a stuck brake pad.

Changed the brake pad, the high pitch noise stayed for 1-2 days than after that nothing.

Hope it can help someone.
