HID Issue

Hey guys , got a little issue with my HID bulbs on
My 06 TL today , I changed the bulbs to 10k and they turn on and start up fine , after a minute and 10 seconds of use the driver side bulb shuts off , I turn the switch on and off , and the bulb works again but just for another minute and 10 seconds and it turns off again , can anyone help me with this ? Thanks

I'm guessing it could be the ballast needing to be changed?

Most likely bulbs. Switch the bulbs around and see if the problem follows the side to confirm before spending loot on ballasts and crap. And 10k? Seriously my god how do you see?

^this. switch bulbs, see if it's just a faulty bulb first. it could also maybe be a blown fuse? if it's neither, you probably need a new ballast.

a bad fuse wouldn't be causing the issue. To anyone reading this thread, if you have any sort of problems with the HID system, take off the front bumper and start swapping parts one at a time to the other side!

For example if the driver side bulb isn't working, switch JUST the bulb to the passenger side and the passenger side bulb to the driver side. If the problem moves to the passenger side, the issue is the bulb! If the problem is still with the drivers side, then swap over the ignitors! And if that doesn't help, move the ballasts!

No matter how many times you post this you'll still get people starting the same thread on HID's. I know I must've said this at least a dozen times in various HID problem threads.

And the fact that this poster tells us that the bulb works when he quickly flips the switch on and off again clearly tells me that his igniters work and so does his ballast and it's just the bulb refusing to stay lit.
