Aaron's really shy, man. He never answers the phone and I've been his best friend since 2nd grade spanish class. You may want to go over your wiring again, make sure all the t-taps broke thru the wiring as well as make sure you're double clicking it in the right amount of time. Took me a long time to get it down.

cant be a fuse if it works when you hold the button down. there is a sunroof recalibration procedure. See post #3 of this thread

https://acurazine.com/forums/3g-tl-problems-fixes-114/sunroof-wont-tilt-auto-open-close-have-hold-button-close-open-fully-854890/

Try this first...sometimes they mess up when batteries go dead.

Moonroof motor calibration

NOTE: The moonroof calibration must be performed when any of the following events have occurred.
  • The moonroof is manually moved with the battery dead or disconnected.
  • The moonroof motor is replaced with a new one.
  • Any component related to the moonroof replaced.
    - Wind deflector
    - Moonroof glass
    - Moonroof seal
    - Moonroof glass bracket
    - Moonroof cables, etc.
To calibrate the moonroof, perform the following steps
  1. Turn the ignition switch ON (II).
  2. Open the moonroof to full open position and release the open button.
  3. Pull and hold the moonroof OPEN switch until the moonroof glass moves slightly back to its mechanical stop and then forward again slightly.
    • New Motor
    • Other than new motor: This will take about 13 seconds.
  4. Release the OPEN switch.
  5. Within 5 seconds, pull and hold the moonroof OPEN switch again.
  6. In about 3 seconds the moonroof glass will begin to slide closed.
  7. Continue to hold the open button until the glass moves to closed position, tilts up, and returns to the closed position again.
  8. Test the moonroof auto operation.

That's for a moonroof, Glenn. He's doing this during the day so that won't work for him, unfortunately.

What's the difference between a moonroof and a sunroof?

All I need is for my sunroof to be normal again

quite simply put, a moonroof is only to be used at night (when the moon is out) and a sunroof is only to be used during the day time (when the sun is out).

DO NOT mix up these two otherwise you will have irreversable damage to the glass.

dude just try it. If it doesnt work then you have lost nothing but maybe 5 minutes. Try it multiple times because just like with reprogramming windows, it might not take the first time.

It can not be a fuse. If that were the case, it wouldnt work at all. It could be a partially cut or completely cut wire making the connection intermittentally. I dont think thats the case because all the kp module does is tell the computer in the car how long to hold the lock pulse for to roll the windows/sunroof up/close.

Try it and if it doesnt work, you can continue troubleshooting past there. Its free, it works for windows, cant hurt to try.

Aaron, you are a liar.
DevtypeS...in all seriousness. Glenn's right, that has to be it. Don't give up on the module just yet. Do what he suggested and I'm confident you'll be alright.

Sooo...are you going to give the module another go? Honestly, it is one of my MUST HAVE mods for the car after flawlessly working for 3 years now...I honestly can't remember the last time I put the windows up before getting out of the car. And I ride EVERYWHERE with the windows down.
