Help with seat belt indicator light

I have a 2004 TL and am expierencing SRS light on dash. My question is this; I believe I have isolated it to the pass side front seat. What I need to know is, if two people are occupying the two front seats before you buckle up, will the seat belt warning dash light stay on after the driver buckles up, or does the passenger also need to buckle up to turn the light off.

I am not sure if the pass front seat buckle has quit, triggering the SRS light. My seat belt indicator light goes off after the driver buckles up, and doesn't remain lite even when the passenger doesn't buckle up. Is that std operating procedure for this model yr.

both occupant must buckle up to shut up that seat belt warning light, if just the driver buckled and the passenger has not the light will stay on.

OP, seat belts and buckles have a life time warranty as long as the vehicle is operable. The warranty covers both parts and labor in the USA, not sure about other countries.

that brings me to my follow up question to try and eliminate the passenger front seat sensor as the culprit. Can anyone with a similar level of SRS bells and whistles system, 2004 Acura TL verify that after the Driver buckles up, they reach over and verify that the blinking seat belt light on the dash goes off as soon as the passenger belt is clicked.

I ask this to try and eliminate the Stealers' $100 plus charge to diagnose the problem, which i know would be covered if it is a belt issue and Not a seat sensor issue, which is not a covered part and labor on a 2004 TL. Thanks
