let me start w/ a "tomato to my head" b/c i deserve it. I backed into a parking post placed just low enough where i couldn't see through my side mirrors.....no excuses though i had a brain fart

DAMAGE:
cosmetic damage didn't look that bad until i took the bumper off and it was evident of couple through-through breaks on the bumper cover. the impact also smashed in the body molding (note the soft metal right corner by air vents) back into trunk compartment. w/ some help from a friend, i banged out what i could back out and manipulated bumper brackets to accommodate the securing of future bumper.
Type-s bumper lip also took damage underneath scraping the paint and creating deep grooves into the plastic.

remedy:
option 1: have a body shop attempt to repair (depending on labor, parts, paint; the "juice just may not be worth the squeeze" if u know what i mean)

option 2: lost cause, order another type s bumper cover/ lip ($$)
Type-s Bumper cover $225 approx (need to order)
Type-s bumper lip $225 approx (all ready have)

ENDSTATE:
i'm extremely anal so i wish not to have evidence of this nightmare on existing bumpers if i go that route. my knowledge on repair capabilities and limitations are extremely limited so guys please chime in if u have any suggestions or just wanna lend a shoulder for me to cry my ass off on.

Just get a new bumper cause they will probably charge you almost the same price.

Damn Bro,I feel your pain, get the TL-S bumper and slap that other rear a-spec you have in the garage, It will probably be cheaper to get a new bumper than reparing your old bumper and the damage a-spec.

Can you still salvage the rear a-spec lip? If you do try to sell it maybe.

^ yeah, common saying goes "pain is weakness leaving the body" well i must've been overwhelmly weak b/c i'm still feeling the pain

dropped the base bumper off same place ure trim pieces are at, "buddy" is going to repair it for just over 1/2 the price it would of cost me to order a new bumper, pay for frieght (such a large part) and painted. should have it by the weekend.

haven't decided the course of action for damaged Type-s lip, maybe sell on BM?

we need our exhaust!!

heads up; the damaged Type-s lip is for sale. obviously it to damn big to ship so lets keep it local, price is $100 or OBO. i have no idea the cost of repair..... i will post this BM later

I can't really tell from the pics, but is the rear lip cracked?
