Help!! Dealer doesn't know how to fix body kit

Hey guys I need some help. I have recurrent problems with the under body kit (not matching the paint and now its coming apart).
I just came back from the dealer and they put a cheap double sided tape that off course didn't hold even from the service area to the parking lot (they didn't exchange the kit nor took it apart to clean it). The service manager told me that Acura is aware of this problem and that they don't have a fix he said that in a couple of weeks an Acura person is supposed to call me to help me.
I know some people have had the same issue but with better results from dealers. Anybody knows what they put on there that can actually hold it(I know that the front kit doesn't exactly fit),or the dealer in which they did it maybe they can tell me what they use.

Still waiting for someone to answer me.... Don't get me wrong I love my TL and have no complains so far. But the body kit not fitting properly and that the dealer is unable to fix it is REALLY agrevating.

It generally means that Acura knows that the Dealers dont have the slightest idea how to propery do the install....they probably didnt clean the area well during install (just like the fix you mention) either or it most likely would still be ok!

Heck....most of the Acura dealers dont even have their own body shop on site.....and one could say that it doesnt take a body man to do this....but apparently it does to get it done right!

Well....I definately agree with you....but you know what they say about repeating the same behavior with no results? I cant even believe the Acura dealers atttude in my area.....WOW. It TRUELY leaves something to be desired!

So....if your dealer is the same....you will just get the runaround until you mess with it yourself and get it fixed or you can take a printout of the link Chill_Dog sent you and take it to the dealer with you and see what kind of response that gets you? When they get done laughing at you....they will take it back and fix it the wrong way again and send you on your way for about a day or so. The basic problem lies in that they did not prep the surface properly the FIRST time and continue to do the same thing, it appears? So...you can hold their hand and lead em in the right direction or do it yourself? Personally I hate holding some professionals hand that ought to know how to do it right in the first place...so most eventually choose to do it themselves! But I totally agree with you in principle!

Originally, I was going to make some crack about SEARCHING, but I thought I'd be nice and decided against it...in retrospect, maybe I should've said something.

Spend the $5 and DIY or live with it as is...you asked how to fix it, you were told how to fix it...no more moaning.

You act like you're the only one with this problem...I have it, as well. My dealer's solution? Replace the front and rear skirts. I told them to forget it as 1) the new ones will have the same problem and 2) the proper solution is to apply new (good) tape as described by PeterUbers.
