Help!!!

Alright so I'm currently trying to replace my front shocks and I removed the nut off the through bolt on the fork, I have the jack propped under the arm to level out the fork. That means the fork should be straight up and down correct? So when I'm unbolting the through bolt it's just spinning what can I do?

Not sure I understand... did you get the nut off?

Doh, reading owns me... I never had to jack up the arm to get that bolt out. Did you try putting the nut on a few threads and gently tapping to get it started?

Yes the nut is off, but when I unscrew the bolt its not unscrewing, it just spins.

Once the nut is off, am I suppose to take a mallet and hit the through bolt out?

It's only threaded on the end. It's not threaded through either side of the fork.

I had to give it a "love tap" (with the nut protecting the threads) to get it started. Then you can use a smaller diameter long bolt to tap it the rest of the way out.

Thanks for your help, I finally replaced them.
