Hear A Squeek Sound When Rolling Windows

Hi,

I have an 06 TL.

I noticed something a bit unusual the other day.

lets say my driver side window is all the way up. i lower it for 2 seconds then stop. then i proceed to lower it down to the bottom.

I hear a squeek sound!!!!!!!!!!!! sometimes it squeeks till it is all the way down, other times it squeeks just at the moment i press down and then disappears.

the same thing happens in reverse if i go up.

only on my driver's side window...........last night i noticed it kind of stopped squeeking a bit but unsure what this is.

It shouldn't be the moleskin right? felt can't squeek like that.

My friends 05 did that alot, and still does. Don't know what it could be to be honest, but I say get it checked out by the dealer

Window tint will cause this, could possibly by your moleskin. Try to spray silicone lubricant in the run channels, ive also used a dry lubricant on the window molding which usually fixes this problem!

The window more than likely is getting caught up on the rubber that goes against the window. Use the end of a squeegee to open up the space between the glass and that rubber and clean the window...try again

I experienced a similar problem, turns out it was the window regulators going bad. Took the car in and they replaced both regulators under warranty. Apparently a comonm issue with TL's.

BUMP, I just wanted to know if there was any resolution to this? I'll try and clean the window, I just have a feeling the squeak will return.

The window squeak I am experiencing is intermittent. It seems to happen strategically, only when my girl and myself are in the car and not the tech from the dealer.

Solution is pretty simple, clean the windows, and tell the tech to clean up the run channels for the windows and to use th spcial lubricant on the rubber in the channels. theres a TSB for it somewhere here...

Did some investigating since Honda's Interactive network prevents you from checking TSBs after normal business (9am-4pm PST) hours. I found this in the 3G garage.... http://www.in.honda.com/Rjanisis/pubs/SB/B06-031.PDF

Got the regulators replaced and run channels cleaned. I should pick it up tomorrow. Hopefully that's it. I will keep everyone updated.

New regulators did it. I cross my fingers this is a permanent fix.
