Below are pictures of my front left headlamp. If you look closely you can see this "yellowish, wavy" hue. I recently noticed this on both of the headlamp casing/housings. It seems to be on the outside of the plastic casing. Any suggestions on how to get rid of it and or what it is? It's an 06 and I've had it since then, probably due to weather wear and tear?

Did you just recently buy your TL?

The only cause I would know is that your headlights were hazy, then someone used a headlight polish on it to remove the haze, but didn't put much pressure on the border of the headlights, due to the fear of getting polish on the paint.

How would I know?

Well, same thing is on mine, except mine is barely noticeable.

The solution?

Get some headlight polish, and work it in around the edges.

No I've had it it all 6 years. Which is why I'm wondering how it got there. I'll check out the polish though. Thanks!

Lack of proper detailing of the vehicle will cause that fading on most plastic headlights. 3M makes a great compound, try this one 1st and use it with a microfiber towel to buff out before investing in a headlight restoration kit which will involving wet sanding of the lens.
