Headlight auto off feature...

Hey guys,

I have an 08 TL-S 6MT.
My question has to do with the auto off feature of the headlights..

Im assuming the time (15sec 30sec 60 sec) in the setting menu is the amount of time the lights stay on after you shut down??

Does this work only in the "auto" mode of the headlight switch?? or both..
My headlights shut off as soon as I turn the car off, no matter where the switch is..

Is something screwed up? or is it just me??

Mike

A) the 15, 30, 60 second intervals are indeed the time that the lights will stay on after you shut the car off.
B) I have an 05 TL that doesn't have auto lights, so on the "manual" mode, they stay on until the preset time and then shut off. I'm not sure how it works on TLs with auto headlights.
C) My next point. If you leave your lights on and exit the vehicle, press the lock button on your key fob twice and the lights will shut off along with you getting the lock confirmation beep. SUCH an awesome feature that I use all the time. Then when I come back out to my car in the dark, I unlock it and the lights come back on so I can see everything. Try it out dude.

You are a godsend!!

I thought something was wrong with the car, but now it makes sense!
I was turning the switch off after I shut off the car.. I have a Durango that works opposite (when you turn the switch off, the lights stay on for the preset time)

I didnt know to leave the switch ON.. (felt kinda wrong like something my girl would do!

Anyway, I just tried it out and the remote function is SWEET!!!

Thanks for the help!!
