Handbreak loose

So I did something really stupid in my car the other day.

I hav a 08 tl-s 6spd MT, I was leaving a house party on Saturday night not exactly sober.

Got in my car started the engine and totally let the clutch out forgetting to put it to neutral (I park in first gear) and stalled the car with the handbreak up! The car of course lurched forward before stalling.

Then the following day I was parked on a fairly steep hill and pulled my handbreak, then noticed the car was sliding backwards slowly! I had to give the handbreak an extra tug to make the car stop completely.

Now, did my dumbass just mess up my handbreak by stalling with it still engaged? How much would it cost to "fix" it so that I don't have to pull extra hard on the handbreak for it to be fully engaged. Or am I just being paranoid and you really have to pull hard on the handbreak till it fully engages?

Such a dumb mistake, I was practically kicking myself after such an embarrassing stall.

go to the dealer and don't tell them what you did...just tell them that the ebrake needs to be adjusted...they should cover it under warranty.

ebrake needs to be adjusted. It should be at full lock by 10 clicks. If not, it has to be adjusted from the rear of the car.
