Greddy Evo 2's melting bumpers??
I wanted to buy the Greddy Evo 2 exhaust but i read that a couple people had problems with part of the bumper melting!!!
Does anyone else have or had problems with this because this is going to determine wheter i go with the greddy's or the comptech

I've had mine on for about 4 months now (seems longer) and my bumper is still fine. And I have the A-Spec kit too.

It must be the position in which the exhaust exists, or the position of the pipe itself. If too short the hot gases make contact with the bumper and it melts away. Same as I've seen with the extremely hot exhaust gases from the RX7 rotary. I've never had a problem with our modifed turbo, but many have had the bumper melt from positioning the exit area incorrectly.
From the Greddy pictures it looks like not only is the pipe very close to the bumper as the black plastic surround is removed, it should be extended farther and cut on more of an angle to reduce the flow up to the bumper area.
