Hello,
I'm the one who crashed my '05 TL last year and had to get a $7,000 (or so, I forget) repair at an Acura authorized body shop.
Today, I just saw a little dust-looking thing on the hood of my TL (btw, my TL is in WDP), so I took a look at it, and it was actually paint being chipped. I took a even closer look at it, and it appears that something like a pebble might have hit the spot and the paint started to chip, but I'm not sure. It looks like the paint is slightly lifted, like there's air underneath this patch of 1-1.5cm in size.
Since the shop I took my car last year was a collision body shop, I don't know if I should call them to see if they can fix it, or if I should go ahead and find a paint specialty shop...If anyone has any suggestions, or know a good shop in the South Bay (in Los Angeles, near Hermosa Beach, Torrance, Palos Verdes-sort of area), I'd appreciate it.
