Gas peddle stiff

I just bout a new Acura TL 06 yesterday. After about driving for 30 miles, I noticed that I had to really push down hard on the accelerator to get the car moving. Something has to be wrong since my right leg is killing me.

Has anyone else had this problem ?
Is there an adjustment that needs to be made immediately ?

Thanks for any advise.

Seems really different

Been driving for 20 years, and I have driven lots of rental cars with power, but this seems different.

Can't imagine people driving with a pain in the leg. After 30 + miles this doesn't seem right.

i find the pedal to be actually pretty sensitive in my case; dont get any discomfort. u should probably get it checked out. the gas pedal is a drive by wire system, meaning that the throttle is controlled electronically by the computer and not by cables, so its not like theres any cable thats too tight.

Thought as much

I am going to call the dealer tomorrow. Wished that the fix would be a simple adjustment, but seems more complicated.

This after a day of driving ...

Thanks again.

Dealer checked it

The dealer says it is working the way it should.

Guess it is going to take some time to get used to the "feel" of the Acura.

That seems strange. Are you suggesting that less pressure was needed when starting out, and additional pressure was needed later? Or just the cumulative effect after 30 miles seemed to caused leg pain?

I have no problem with my TL 06, and the accelerator pressure seems similar to my 99 TL. Maybe you should make more use of the cruise control. Also have another person drive and see if they experience the same symptoms.
