Does anyone have a problem while you drive you get a message "gas cap loose " and then it goes away after 10 15 minutes of drving. i got this message several times. i always fill the gas my self and i make sure it gets 4 to 5 clicks. i also never leave vehicle running when i am filling gas. i have this Saturday appointment for this issue.

all work and no play
there may be a problem with your cap, something in your fuel system is malfunctioning...since its going away I would think it may be the sensor
1 click or 13591 clicks its the cap will be tightened the same amount

Seen this on many cars that come in.
Replace the gas cap, only get one from the dealer others will make problem worse
Warranty will cover it, I don't remember if extended warranty will

I have this problem also on my 07 TL-S. It's very irritating to keep deleting the "emails". I replaced the gas cap myself since I didn't want to wait around at the dealer. The light comes on three to eight times per tank and goes off after 5-15 mintues.

then you might have a bad sensor, the one that checks for fuel vapor leakage...

I took it to the dealership and they say there is no codes stored in the system. they couldn't find a problem so I bought a new gas cap and put it my self and the light still comes back on.
