Question Gaping rear bumper?

I drive a 2005 Acura TL and I was wondering if anyone else ever had an issue with their rear bumper starting to gap. Basically, what it is doing is that it's leaving a tiny little space where it no longer lines up with the body to give it a clean look. I tried pushing the bumper back in, which would work for a day, but come next morning, it starts to slide right back out again. Anyone have a solution to this issue? The gaping spot is right below the tail light where the bumper and main body meet. (P.S. This is NOT my TL, I just do not have a good quality picture of mine so I'm using this stock TL as an example.)

it's especially common if bumper was replaced.
I replaced my base bumper with a type-s bumper and it doesnt line up with the taillights.

i suspect the mounting brackets are fucked up on one side or the other..
to me,it's not that important, as it's just a car.

eventually, I would like to do a whole car repaint, while fixing my fenders or possibly widening them....at that point i'll worry about the tail light bracket
