Fuel Tank - Fuel Guage

I have a 05 TL auto with Nav, 4300 miles. The manual says the fuel tank holds 17 gal. When the fuel guage reads empty, light on, and trip computer says there is only 30 miles to empty, it only takes 13.3 or 13.4 gal to fill the tank. It has been this way from the first time I filled up. By my calculations, that means there is 3 to 3.5 gal of gas in the tank when the car says its empty. Does anyone know if the dealer can adjust the fuel sensor?

I'm pretty sure they (Honda/Acura) do that on purpose. Think there were a bunch of previous threads on it, but nobody really discussed adjusting the sensor.
