Frustrated...front bumper 10mm bolts rusted and turning entire clip.

The bolts are so rusted that they are turning the entire clip thing that they screw into. I'm afraid that I'm going to break my bumper. Any ideas?

I have went ahead and sprayed them pretty good with PB blaster. We'll see if that works.

if the backing is slipping and turning, you'll need to find a way to hold them; ie vice grips or needle nose pliers.
which clips are doing this to you? (location of clip please)

All 6 of the clips that the 10mm bolts screw into. I'm trying to figure out a way to secure them with vice grips without squeezing the bumper too hard.

MOTHER OF PEARL. I was able to get 1 out! Only 5 more to go! Which I will have to revise my strategy.

good luck with the bolts because they are hard to get off, Justin you never see the rust under salty road condition during the winter road.

Previous owners must have had a little fender bender.

I was able to get vice grips on the clips, but the bolts broke off inside anyways. That's how absurdly rusty they were.

Yeah those fking suck. Few of mine were the same way. I ended up drilling them out and using "bitch clips" in their spot.

same shit happened to me....had to get one of the 10mm that bolts to the frame driller out since the head snapped off while it was complete threaded in...

the clips that connect your wheel well you do not really need, i snapped off those clips you have in your pictures 2 years ago...replaced them with a normal pushpin clip...as long as you have the 10mm bolts into the frame that bumper is not going anywhere
