Front Bumper/Air Dam

Skip ahead to next paragraph to avoid [rant][words]

Memorial Day Weekend I was driving up I-85 on the way to Pennsylvania when a tractor trailer launched a chunk of asphalt directly at me, causing a blowout and cracked driver's front rim. After sitting in Petersburg, VA (think 3rd Circle of Hell) for two hours, I took the car to Crown Acura in Richmond. I have never been more impressed with a dealership service department, but I digress. Rim and tire replaced by insurance, road trip to PA continues. Upon arriving back in NC, I discovered the left headlight no longer functioned. My claim was reopened, and I took the car into the local Nationwide "Blue Ribbon" shop. They replaced the bulb, ballast, and igniter. I picked up the car after hours last night and the headlight works beautifully; unfortunately the bumper now has two spiderweb cracks in the paint, a couple of chips missing, and a giant 4" crack through the plastic that weren't there when I dropped it off. Needless to say, I'm livid and can't wait to speak with the owner this morning.

[/rant]

On to my actual question for the group. I know the topic of the unsightly front air dam that hangs from the radiator on the Base 04-06 models has been beaten to death, but it seems to stick out more on my 2005 SSM than on any other 3G TLs I see around town. Is there a fascia piece that is supposed to live forward of the air dam to "hide" it? If not, short of an A-Spec lip kit, what has been done by other members to clean up the front end in regards to this part?

Thanks!

Damn that sucks about them damaging your bumper, luckily it can be fixed.

hahaha, Petersburg is a tough place to be stranded and that is a long ride to Crown on Broad St.

There is nothing that will really hide it, not even the A-Spec lip.
If yours is particularly bad, or it really bothers you, just remove it.
