Friday the 13th A13 Service Trouble
So, I went against my standing rule of getting my car worked on on a Friday afternoon due to unforeseen scheduling issues. My car was in for an A13 service (oil change, tire rotation tranny fluid replacement).
On the way home I notice my car is whistling during acceleration. Almost sounds like I have a turbo ... no turbo. So after driving 30-40 miles, I was at a place where I could investigate. Long story short, the dealer failed to tighten the O ring clamp that connects the air intake to the engine. It had fallen completely off/or was never reconnected to begin with.
I have since reconnected it, but my concern is that this may have caused damage to the engine considering there was NO filtration taking place. It was sucking air in right from the engine bay.
Can any of you with a little more knowledge than myself in this department tell me if I should be concerned?
Thanks so much in advance guys!

Thanks guys ... I was just concerned. I'm assuming I would know if my engine sucked in anything more than air. Have a great weekend.

Nothing will happen but for your own piece of mind contact the dealership and tell them they forgot to tighten the O ring and for them to take a look at it. they will probably take a look and won't find anything but save the paperwork for that day good luck

How much does it cost for service A13? My car is due for this service.
