Fogging windshield

Hello everyone
I really need help.We have a TL 2004 and last night it really become dangerous to drive.Every time the temperature outside is hot and it starts to rain the windshield gets so foggy/humid that no air conditioner can dry it it down.More correctly it gets foggy inside and outside. The windshield wiper has to be on constantly. In order to dry it off I have to put the heather on and that is not comfortable when is 80 outside. Does anybody experiencing this?

Turning the air conditioner on should remove the fog from the front windshield. Do you know if your Air condition works correctly?

There's also a defrost button that you can use to remove any moisture/fog on the front windshield.

Well here is the trick, if you have cold A/C blowing at your windshield on a hot and humid day, this is what you get. Put some warm air on the windshield for a minute or 2 and then turn the A/C back on but make sure that you don't use cold A/C on the windshield.

Another issue can be if your windshield is dirty on the inside from lack of cleaning or smoking in the car. Rainex offers a anti fog coating for the interior windows that is also very helpful. I don't think the temp of the air conditioned air makes much difference as the dry air the AC blows is what removes moisture from the window. Make sure your AC is on recirculate to get the driest air possible.

^^ I agree
Start by cleaning it on the inside...
Foamy windex and a microfiber towel works best...

My thoughts
1) AC issues. If you have the tried the defrost button and it doesn't help then could be an issue. Does your AC work? When you turn on the defroster can you feel cold air coming out of the dashboard vents that blow on the windshield?
2) Re-circulation on? Try turning it off. Depending on the conditions it can either help, or hurt defrosting/defogging
3) Do you smell any anti-freeze? Even a small leak in the heater core can cause a bad fogging problem. Does the inside surface of the windshield always seem to need cleaning or have any film-like build up on it? (you'd notice it driving into the sun and at night)
