The dealership STILL hasn't even received the right parts yet. I'm wondering if it would be a good idea for me to go to ACS directly, since I live only 30 minutes away and talk to someone directly.

Its normal for the main parts warehouse to close for 2 weeks at this time of year
Most everyone takes vacation then, and a few do inventory and cleanup of the warehouse. No shipping occurs
As a result, you wait on parts.

Well, I just got a call from the dealership. They got the parts in late today and started to work on it. I'll have it back by tomorrow afternoon.

if the OP would have over reved the engine, the new time would be recorded since it happened after the flash.......

OP fight this one tooth and nail....

only way to over rev on snow and ice is to turn the rev limiter off (not possible) and disable the TCS system

Well, I actually went DIRECTLY TO ACS today. I spoke with my case manager and his boss. Needless to say, they were quite surprised that I was there. We spoke and expressed both of our sentiments. I asked for them to subsidize some of my repair costs and possibly pay my last month's car payment. I don't know how beneficial it was, but I was told that they would reexamine my case and "see what they could do" for me. We'll have to wait until Monday to find out what happens.

I'll keep you all updated.

Ouch! At least you have it back. Do you have a list of exactly what they replaced. I'm curious if it's new complete head assemblies or rebuilt old heads.

You should hope that they installed new heads because even if they did, that's too much. Hopefully Acura covers some of it.

Here's how much new complete heads cost:

That's a slightly different part #. Look at the price of the heads they charged me for at Santa Monica Acura compared to acuraoemparts.com: http://www.acuraoemparts.com/delray/...1=&inputstate=

Absolutely NOTHING!

I'm pretty upset, but, as mentioned, at least I got my car back. I've put about 150 miles on it and it runs great.

I'm just DONE with it. I think they could have given me a bigger break on the parts AND labor. I have always given glowing reviews on the surveys, but this one's going to be a bit different.

I'm almost tempted to post my case manager's contact info so that I can let everyone know who was responsible for me not getting ANY type of reimbursement. There was no change in their decision even after I asked them to open up my case a second time, to reconsider.

Not only are you paying for a job they originally screwed up but they're screwing you on the cost of the screwed up job. There's a lot of screwing going on.

I know. This is actually eating away at me, but what can I do? It's over with.

Done is done. Just enjoy the car as much as possible now.

In the future, even if you're having the dealer do the work, show them how much you can get the parts for. If they won't lower the price, order the parts yourself from one of the dealers with an online parts store. I've noticed a lot of local Honda dealers in general tend to mark up over list price a significant amount.
