Engine light and low mpg!
hey guys i just got a 07 type s with 120miles mostly highway miles....always taken care of it...oil change etc but now i got a engine light (P0134) which from my understanding is for oxygen sensor...and the trip computer shows 16 avg mpg....is that normal? i mean i had a hummer h3 before and thats what i got on that thing! is the oxygen sensor a important thing? how much would it be to replace or fix?
thanks

Fuel mileage is certainly dependent upon driving conditions and driving habits. If one is heavy on the gas pedal along with city driving, that mileage figure isn't too far off. When compared to a H3, the mileage isn't going to be vastly different in the city atmosphere, but will see a much wider gap in highway dtiving. Best to check the mileage manually when doing fillups.
You'll also be paying more for the premium fuel on the TL.

the one that needs to be changed is the one that gave you the code.
(p0134) which i believe is bank1sensor1....although dont quote me on that...
the OBDII scanner should tell you what bank and what sensor it is.
and yes, that thread does apply to you. even if yours is an 07

sorry i am really confused ...i found a pic online (link above) which one would it be? is it the one on the "warm up catalytic converter" or the "catalytic converter" i have searched online and most ppl say that its on the cat converter behind the engine (the one thats vertical and closer to the ECM/PCM)? is that wat i should be looking for?
please excuse me with my dumb questions AND THANKS EVERYONE FOR YOUR HELP!

Search, there are many threads on mpg. Take a look at your average mph then look at your average mpg. Post both numbers on here and I'll be they're right where they should be. MPG is directly related to average MPH. When my mpg averages 10mph or less, my mpg is down around 10-12mpg and it's normal.
