Eneos 0W 50

It's a little on the thick side. Unless you plan on pushing 300F+ oil temps I don't think I would use it. Don't let the 0w fool you, it will be much thicker than a 10w-30 at the usual startup temps. I'm all for something thicker than the government suggested 20wt but a good 30wt or even a good 0w-40 is more than you would ever need unless you're planning on extremely high oil temps, the kind you would only experience on a track on a hot day with a turbo and lots of boost.
Some claim the Eneos is on the thin side for a 50wt, more like a 0w-40. I have no idea but at $10 or more per quart I don't know that I would use it unless you could find a good reason for it, some way it stands out from the normal $5 oil. Mixing is fine, it's usually best to keep it in the same family so you have similar chemistries. It looks just like any other SM oil to me. That doesn't mean it's not a great oil but I don't see anything special about it. Maybe you could be the first to try it.
