E-brake tightening

So I have searched, and checked the 3G garage, but I am unable to locate any DIY's or instructions on tightening the ebrake cable on my 6MT TL....

Can anyone point me in the right direction? I have to pull my ebrake all the way to the limit for it to take affect, which means it needs adjustment. Thanks.

so the adjustment is done from inside the car? not the rear wheels?

Rear shoes should be properly adjusted before considering a cable adjustment.

The cable adjustment is. If you want to do the major adjustment first, you can. I just did the cable adjustment and it worked fine. If you replace the rear parking brake shoes, you should definitely do both. Here's both procedures:

Once you do the cable and shoe adjustments, don't forget to break in the shoes for max power. Once you do the break-in, you may have to readjust.

I'm guessing 6speeders dont generally have to do your "trick"
mine holds with no problem....I figure its only the auto guys since they dont use the ebrake often.

Depends. Mine was never used except for when the car was already stopped. Doing it this way, they will never break-in......ever. Just using it won't break the shoes in. You have to use it while in motion to break them in. Mine held ok before but now it requires very little effort to lock in. It can easily lock up the NT05s.

Update:

1. The Service Manual says 6-10 clicks for parking brake to hold.
2. Use Minor procedure for 1 or 2 click adjustment.
3. Use Major, then minor for adjustments more than 2 clicks.
