Drivetrain Sound Noise
I own a 2006 Acura TL (6spd). I've never had problems with it until recently. When I am playing around with the clutch in first gear under 3000 rpm, I can hear this slight vibration noise. It sounds like turning metal friction. I can not replicate this sound on call, but seems as if it happens more when I have the AC on.
I took my car to Acura and luckily I could replicate the noise for the tech. After a day of having my car they said that it is a known problem with the TLs and it does not put the car in any danger. I'm afraid my waranty will expire and the noise will become a bigger problem.
Has anyone had the same problem? Or know what I'm talking about?
Thanks in advance!

Does it sound like a rattle???
My 05 is doing something like this.
Just when you 1st accelerate, then it goes away.
I thought it might be a heat sheild??? Idk!
My warranty IS over, and I'm starting to get worried about having this car out of warranty after hanging out here...

I have a similar noise on my 04 TL Auto. It only happens at 2000 to 2200 rpm. does not matter what gear I'm in. the sound is similar to that of a slipping belt but not as loud. It is extremely difficult to pin point where it is coming from as you typically cannot get the sound to replicate while standing still. This sound drives me CRAZY and is getting more and more prevalant. I also thought it could be a heat sheild vibrating. If anyone could shed some light on this and offer a possible fix I'd sure appreciate it.
