Driverside mirror turning brown

Does anyone know why my driverside mirror would look like a brownish colored water spot it under the mirror

this happened in my audi. the heated mirror was working overtime bc the outside temperature was always below 20. it started to burn the film on the mirror or something like that.

do u use the heated mirror a lot? if not then maybe its defective and always on? just a thought

It's a defect-- there are a couple of other threads where AZ members encountered the same problem.
The dealer will replace the mirror under warranty. If not under warranty, replacement might be goodwilled, depending on dealer.
