im just wondering as i have just bought my car on sunday. the previous owner bought extended warranty and i was wondering do i have to do anything to transfer it to me or can i just go to the dealership and show them the new papers?

this is my concern. the car has 74k but have extended warranty which is up the end of this year. my reverse gear makes a clunk sound when i switch to reverse. is this normal? also on the third gear it seems a bit sleepy. the car is a 2005 acura tl base w.navi.

 

Not sure how warranty transfers. Call your dealership and see if they can help with that. Congrats on your new TL. The 3rd gear has been an issue with the 6MT's. Check out this TSB:

Not sure about the issue with reverse.

 

Almost every Acura I've seen and heard makes the clunk sound when shifting into reverse, including my TL. I'm AT though, so I'm not sure if that applies to MT.

Since the Honda auto trans is nearly an automated manual, you'll still get the reverse clunk/grind like a manual if you're not completely stopped when shifting.
