Do the Tl's 04-08 have tranny issues too?

I am fed up with my 2001 CL and thinking of buying a 04-08 TL. My question is,Do these cars have the same tranny issues?

Are we talking about the automatic? If so, the 04-08 do not have the same problem as the 01-03, however the auto tranny was improved in (I think) 07 so the 04-06 auto tranny, while better than the 03, is still not the most reliable tranny around. But there is a fix for it: https://acurazine.com/forums/3g-tl-2004-2008-93/very-interesting-conversation-my-transmission-builder-tl-721508/

They're better than previous models. The second gear lube issue is fixed. The 3rd gear clutches issue seems to not be fully resolved but I found the cure. The 3rd and 4th gear pressure switches are what was causing all of the failures. The electronics caused the clutches to slip and shudder and eventually a failure. Replace these solenoids for about $100 as preventative maintenence and you will be fine.
