Different tire size error code?

A couple of weeks ago i purchased a 2004 acura tl.. after driving it about a week i noticed that my front tires we smaller than my rear tires 235/45 in the rear and 225/45 in the front. i drove to my dads tire shop and looked for 4 matching tires and put them on, not a mile later i got the ABS, BRAKE, VSA, and //!\\ lights all on.. so i took it to a shop and they plugged their fancy snap on computer to it and got a "different tire size" even though they were all the same size, 235/45/17 all the way around. we drove around with the scanner plugged in and the fronts were spinning 2 mph faster than the rear, so we swapped the front with the rear and still the lights came on. so out of curiosity i went back and put 225/45 in the front, and they were gone.. i drove maybe 10 miles home, ans still no warning lights.

does anyone have any ideas?

I'll start by saying I'm pretty ignorant and in no way a mechanic.

My first thought would be to clear the code and reset the ECU. It sounds like the wheel speed sensor has learned that the previous fitment is correct, and may need to 'un-learn' it.

Now someone who actually knows something can come and tell me how wrong I am, and what you should actually do.

When I took it to my local shop, they cleared the code. How do you reset the ecu? Would simply unplugging the battery do it?
