Dent Options

Don't ask!! I went forward in a parking lot instead of backwards. Duh!!

What are my options for the cracked bumper plastic?

I have attached images.

Can one of those mobile dent guys do anything with this?

It is a crack and not a dent.

I am sure a new bumper plus install is $1000.00 so any other quick fixes I am game for.

That's pretty extensive. I got a small ding in my front bumper, and the body shop wants $500 to fix it. They say they have to take the bumper off, and my car is white diamond pearl which costs more to paint than some colors, so that's why it's so high.

I still have the ding. It's not a $500 ding so I have learned to live with it. I would hate to spend that much and get another one. But yours definitely needs repair or replacing.

You should go to a body shop and see what they can do. A new front bumper will cost around $300, plus painting and installation, which will put you up somewhere near that $1,000 you mentioned. There is no quick fix for this, unfortunately.

Get the A-Spec kit and it may cover it up. Plus IMHO the car will look better with the kit.

The mobile ding guys only do dings not cracks and certainly not cracked plastic. They do a wonderful job on doors, fenders, quarter panel, and hoods though. I had this done on our minivan and it literally looked brand new. The guy said his regular customers usually have him come out once a year and take care of all the dings incurred during the 12 months. Makes sense to me, but I think you are out of luck with the mobile ding guys.

That may be the best solution and the cheapest one at the same time.

there's a guy.....

selling front bumpers for like $180-$250 one ebay. Unit comes primed but needs paint, so factor in the paint cost. Then install the bumper yourself.....you'll come under that $1k no problem.
