Question Dent in My Dashboard

Has anyone noticed a "dent" in the dash of your TL? Mine is on the top of the passenger side and is about the size of a book; perfectly rectangular. I have no idea where it came from or what could've caused it, but we've never put things on the dash and we do use a sunshade to protect it from the heat. Any thoughts???

no repair attempted. i did not think it was any big deal, and certainly not worth the risk the dealer would create MORE RATTLES while working on the dash...

Ah, I see. Well thanks for the info. I do plan on having Acura replace it (assuming it's covered). Prob be a while til I get around to it, but I'll let you know how it goes. Thanks again.

You might want to think about that, because it involves replacing the entire dashboard, which is a big job, and if you don't have any rattles or other problems, you might want to leave well enough alone unless it bothers you a lot.

I got the outline in mine after about a year and a half, but I used Lexol leather conditioner (couldn't find any 303 Aerospace protectant at the time) and it disappeared.
