Dealer did the recall for replacing the wiper motors. Ever since then, whenever I press on the gas hard to accelerate quickly, my radar goes off with a laser warning. I didn't move it, and its never done this before and is really annoying. It is an escort x50, I am thinking they may have forgotten to put some kind of cover or something back on? I did notice that the rubber corner where the glass meets the engine bay and covers the hood hinge was not put back on correctly. I fixed that, but this still happens when I step on the gas hard. Any ideas?

Yours is already done? I checked with my dealer today and they said they wont even get the parts to perform the recall til May...

I asked my dealer and the manager said that they can only order 2 kits for the recall a day right now, and their priority is to fix cars on the lot first.

they said they did it, but I have to wait for the steering hose issue until may or something.

Other people on this forum, including me, have had the X50 or 8500 laser detector go off spontaneously. Some (not including me) had it happen under acceleration.

That's about all I know about it. Don't know if it's related to the TSB work, but I doubt it.
